What launched

Local AI Registry is a public registry in Irvine, California that records what AI assistants say about local businesses across the United States. It is now open. Any business can look up its record at LocalAIRegistry.com, free, and read what ChatGPT, Gemini and Perplexity answer when a customer asks about it.

75%of the 5,992 local businesses we have checked have never been named in an AI assistant’s answer

That number is why the registry exists. Customers now ask an assistant for one name instead of scanning ten links, and most owners have never seen the answer they are missing from. The registry shows it to them, explains how assistants choose, and scores what to fix.

A registry, not an agency

The registry keeps records. It does not sell rank. We put real questions to the assistants, capture the answers, and publish the result next to the method that scored it. Every weight in that method is public in our methodology, and a score moves when the record improves, for no other reason.

Registering your business is free and takes minutes, with no card required. Registering is the first step to getting into AI answers: it tells the registry which record is yours and starts your AI Score. The registry tracks plastic surgeons, med spas, cannabis dispensaries, eye doctors, auto dealers and more, across the United States.

The score on every record

Every record carries an AI Score: a 0 to 100 number that measures how findable and recommendable a business is to AI assistants. Eight signals build it, from retrieval grounding and AI visibility to reviews, listings, site speed and schema. The score does not just grade a business; it names the exact signals holding it back.

Who built it

Steve Lee, our founder and chief executive, worked early on the team behind Google’s search algorithm and held executive roles at Google and Microsoft. He also owns a med spa, which is where this started: a person who spent his career inside search could not see what AI was saying about his own business.

“I spent years inside the systems that decide what people find, and I still could not see what AI was saying about my own med spa. Getting listed is free and any business can claim its record today, but being the one business AI recommends takes ongoing work.” Steve Lee, founder and CEO.

The founding team built a search-technology company together before this one. Eric Sim, chief operating officer, led teams inside large pharmaceutical companies and later worked at BitGo, the crypto infrastructure firm. Clinton Adeleke, chief product officer, is an engineer across the modern AI, data and search stack. Bridgette DeBrino, head of sales and marketing, spent more than thirteen years at Allenby Cosmetic Dermatology and ran operations at BodySquad in Boca Raton. Kerrie Quinby, VP of people and partnerships, brings twenty-five years in beauty and wellness, including Colorescience, L’Oreal and Estee Lauder.

“Owners ask us every day how to show up in AI search, and until now there was no place to even check. Now any business can see its answer in minutes, free.” Bridgette DeBrino, head of sales and marketing.
