Day to day
Adding photos to your profile
Your upload link lets anyone with a phone send photos and videos in — they land in your library instantly and drip out to Google on a steady schedule.
Why photos matter
Fresh photos are one of the cheapest signals a local business can send. A Google Business Profile with steady, recent photo activity reads as alive — to customers and to the systems deciding what to recommend. The hard part has never been taking the photos; it is getting them off everyone’s phones and into use. The upload link fixes that part.
Your upload link
In your dashboard, under Tools, you have a photo upload page of your own — a short web address plus a simple password. Anyone you give both to can open it on their phone and send photos or videos in. No app, no account.
- Copy the link and password from the Tools page, or share them by text message with the built-in button.
- Give it to whoever actually takes the photos: staff, your photographer, the family member with the good eye.
- They pick photos or videos on their phone, add an optional name and note, and send. JPG, PNG, WebP, or HEIC photos and MP4, MOV, or WebM video, up to 100MB each.
What happens to uploads
Uploads land in your library immediately — you see exactly what arrived, the moment it arrives. Behind the scenes we write location data into each image, then queue the photos for your Google Business Profile and space them out over the following weeks, because steady activity is worth more than a one-day flood.
Your dashboard shows the tally: what is live in your library, what has been posted to Google, and what is scheduled next.
Common questions
Who should I give the link to?
Anyone who takes photos of the business: staff, a hired photographer, regulars you trust. The link plus password is all they need, from any phone.
Do photos appear on Google right away?
They appear in your library right away. Posting to Google is spaced out over the following weeks rather than dumped in a single burst — steady activity reads better than a flood.
What files can people send?
JPG, PNG, WebP, or HEIC photos and MP4, MOV, or WebM videos, up to 100MB per file. That covers what iPhones and Android phones produce by default.
The link got shared too widely. What do I do?
Rotate the password from your dashboard’s Tools page. The address stays the same, the old password stops working, and everything already in your library is unaffected.
