Day to day
Connecting your Google Business Profile
What the connect button does, what access you are granting, and what happens if you skip it.
Why we ask to connect
Your Google Business Profile is the listing most customers — and most AI assistants — meet first. If you are on a service plan, keeping it worked is part of the job: answering reviews, posting updates, keeping hours and details right. Google requires your say-so before anyone can do that on your behalf, so setup includes a connect step.
How the connection works
- In your dashboard’s setup, choose “Connect with Google.”
- You land on Google’s own consent screen — you sign in with the Google account that manages your Business Profile and approve the access there, on Google’s page, not ours.
- Google sends you back to your dashboard, which shows the connection and which Google account it came from.
We never see or store your Google password. The approval happens entirely on Google’s side; what we hold afterward is the permission token Google issues.
What access we get
The consent screen asks for two things: permission to manage your Business Profile — the standard Google access for posting updates, replying to reviews, and editing listing details — and your email address, so your dashboard can show which account made the connection.
You can withdraw the permission at any time from your Google account’s security settings, under third-party access. Or tell us and we will disconnect it from our side.
If you skip it
Nothing breaks. The connect step is skippable, and it stays available on your dashboard until it is done. Most owners who skip it sort it out on the call with their specialist — it takes about a minute together.
Common questions
Do you get my Google password?
No. You approve access on Google’s own consent screen. Google issues us a permission we can use for your Business Profile, and nothing else — and you can revoke it from your Google account at any time.
Will things get posted without my knowledge?
Work prepared for your profile goes through your approvals queue, and you can see everything there — pending, approved, or declined. You can loosen this per item type in your settings if you would rather not review every post.
I manage several locations. Which one connects?
The connection belongs to the business you are setting up. If you run more than one registered business, each connects on its own dashboard.
How do I disconnect?
In your Google account’s security settings, remove Local AI Registry under third-party access. That cuts the permission at the source. You can also ask us through the contact page.
