Review replies

We draft a reply to each new three, four and five star review on your Google listing, and you edit, approve or decline it. A one or two star review is never answered in public under your name.

Reviews are the text an assistant quotes when it explains why it picked somebody, and a reply is the only part of that text you get to write.

What it is

A reply answers the person, not the room. The first sentence responds to what this reviewer said and names what the visit was for. It adds one thing a stranger reading before booking would want, and stops.

A one or two star review is never answered in public at any age. It is flagged to you on your reviews page with what it says, whether it breaks a Google policy and where the removal petition stands. One that lands while you are with us also emails you within hours; one already sitting on the listing when you arrived is flagged without the mail, because a notice about a review from 2019 reads as news and is not.

Thin replies already on your listing are rewritten, up to twenty of them, and never the one under a one or two star review. Four words of thanks under a review that named a treatment is a wasted paragraph on a page an assistant reads.

What you get

  • A drafted reply per unanswered three, four or five star review, newest first.
  • A flag on your reviews page for each low-star review, and an email within hours for one less than a fortnight old, with the petition state stated plainly and never overstated.
  • The three steps to report a review from your own Google account, because some of them are yours to file and not ours.
  • Replies published on your listing under your name.

How it runs

  1. Reviews are read

The review pass runs every three hours against your Google listing.

  2. Three stars and up are drafted

At most twenty drafts in a run, and at most five a day for reviews older than six months, so a back catalogue is worked through rather than dumped.

  3. One and two stars are pursued

Each one from the last six months is read against Google policy. One that plausibly breaks a rule gets a petition written and assigned to one of our people, because Google has no removal API and a human submits it by hand.

  4. You approve or leave it

Replies to three, four and five star reviews are in the default set that publishes after three business days if untouched. Switch the type to manual and nothing moves without you.

Which plan includes it

Get Recommended is the lightest plan that includes it, at $32/day. Plans above it include everything below them.

Questions

Do you reply to bad reviews?
Not in public, at any age. A one or two star review is flagged to you, and where there is a policy case a removal petition is written and assigned to one of our people to submit by hand. A public argument under a bad review is read by every customer after it.
How fast is the alert on a low-star review?
Within hours, for a review less than a fortnight old. The review pass runs every three hours, and the email goes once the policy read has settled or six hours have passed without it settling. An older one is flagged on your reviews page without an email, which is most of what a listing brings with it on the day you connect.
Will you rewrite the replies already on my listing?
The thin ones, and only the ones we did not write. Five in your first week and five a week after, to a lifetime total of twenty, and never under a one or two star review.
